Start a Vending Machine Business
from: ForsgrensIf you have ever seen those people who live off servicing vending machines, then you might wonder how you can get into that yourself. It is actually easy to start your own vending machine business. The first thing to do is purchase one or two small machines. Then you can build up from there to bring in more income. Soon, you will be the one making all the money from vending machine sales.
Starting small is the best way to begin, with a couple of machines. You can choose from candy vending machines, coffee vending machines or ice vending machines, to name a few. You could also buy some used vending machines. However, be cautious when doing that, because it can be more expensive to fix a used machine than to buy a new one. So be sure any used machine that you buy is in top condition. Non-electrical machines are the best to start with. The candy vending and sticker machines will be the easiest to keep up. Children and parents spend a lot more on that kind of thing than you might think. The best benefit to this machine type is that there are hardly any costs involved at all, after the initial purchase. After you decide what machine to use for your vending machine business, then you are ready to move on to the next step.
Once you have decided on what machines to start out with, and then have purchased your vending equipment, you will have to decide where to put them. Depending on your product type, you will want to place your machines in different spots. A candy vending machine will probably do better in a location where there are many children, whereas a cigarette vending machine will obviously do better in an adult environment. Next, you have to call places that you think will stock your machines, and decide how to split the profits. You probably should not have to pay the business any more than 40% of what you get from profits. This can be decided between each location. Once you have your machines installed in the prime locations, all you have to do is keep up with them. Make sure they are stocked and have change. Make sure to empty the change drawers when they get full, otherwise people will not be able to purchase items with certain combinations of change. Make sure to keep your labels current for the items that you carry. This is especially important for a soda vending machine because it is impossible to see the items being sold.
Any vending machine business, whether large or small, is a great way to make money. Once things are set up, there is very little work to be done. Many people in the business will pay others for the upkeep, and then just sit back while still making money. That is the best advantage to the vending business.
